The vineyards rest in the foothills of the Stellenbosch mountains, five kilometres away from, and in sight of, the Atlantic Ocean. In the afternoons, a gentle breeze from False Bay rustles the vines, cooling the grapes. Our unique terroir is made up of a variety of soils, including the region’s native ‘koffie klip’ (literally, ‘coffee rock’) which produces wines with a fresh crispness and elegance.Harvest
We pick the grapes at 19.5°B to 20.5°B in the coolness of the morning, placing them in small lug boxes to reduce compaction and damage to the fruit. We then hand sort the grapes.Age of vines: planted in 2008 and 2009
