Monogram Semillon 2020

Semillon appears as a component in a few wines in the ranges, Sauvignon Blanc, Partners Blend, Dry Rosé, and this Semillon shows why, these farm vineyards do it to perfection, it’s a variety that responds best to cool growing condition. Oaking, 6 months barrel ferment/matured, gives it a savoury edge of blanched almonds, while a gentle lemon grass, greengage and papaya character supplies the aromatics. Yet it is basically a textured rather than aromatic experience: subtle, a full mouthfeel, tantalising yet subtle green notes without anything overt.
