Ruby, pale and clear as befits the variety. Fruit shows in the perfume and favours, raspberries and blueberries, lightly spice-dusted. The extra notes tantalise, glacé cherries, even a hint of crystallised violets. A classic version, there’s purity and focus, nothing overworked, just enough barrel oaking for a savoury seam to add interest, but still allowing the fruit to shine. The elegant palate is sleekly curvaceous, juicy, ultra-smooth and sensuous.
