Foothills Syrah 2021

Deep ruby colour. First impression is of spice, some freshly ground pepper, prosciutto, hint of scrub, then the fruit emerges, dark plums and cherries, perfectly ripe. There’s a lovely combination of fruit and savoury, gets the balance right, showcasing the variety without becoming showy or brash. The texture is plush, smooth and round, luscious, a wine very easy to like. The finish is long, packed with flavour, could handle rich dishes like casseroles, spicy meat dishes.
